About Vilma DeLaCruz
I am a visionary design professional with over a decade of experience designing and overseeing the installation of new landscapes for residential and business customers.
Good landscape design adds beauty, style and functionality to outdoor spaces, is good for the environment, sustainable and offers habitat for birds, bees and butterflies. Beautiful design also increases property value, pride of ownership and adds to ones quality of life.
DeLaCruz Design projects have included hardscape paths & patios, water features, rockscapes, in addition to plant design. As a Master Gardener with years of hands on gardening experience, I believe and practice this rule; putting the right plant in the right place!
My client projects vary from large scale estate properties to postage stamp lots. Each project is treated uniquely with a consistent standard of excellence. My goal is Customer satisfaction and enhancing the beauty of outdoor spaces in every way that makes the most sense for the customer. I love to create and communicate the vision on paper. But the best part is to see the vision realized!

Site Evaluation and Consultation
Design Work
Landscape Installation
Step One: Schedule an initial meeting to discuss your goals and objectives for landscaping.
Step Two: Site Evaluation - consists of assessing soil condition, exposure, existing structures, orientation and general surroundings.
Step Three: Discuss possible design ideas, provide a rough estimate, DIY options, Installation sequence and schedule the next step...the design work!
Step One: Measure and Photograph proposed area to be landscaped.
Step Two: Create a scaled rendering of property and develop a tentative Plant List.
Step Three: Present the initial design ideas, layout and materials.
Step Four: Upon client approval, finalize Master Landscape Plan, Calculate and source plant material.
Step Five: Hire a Landscape Contractor.
Step One: Landscape plan reviewed with contractors and construction crew.
Step Two: Installation performed according to Master Landscape Plan.
Step Three: Final walk through of installation and review of Landscape Binder with client.
